Installation and Installation Systems Development

Ron brings over 40 years of flooring installation experience to the Beakler Consulting team. He began his career in 1979 with Armstrong Cork Company, where he worked until his retirement in 2022. In 1987, Ron became an instructor at the Armstrong Installation School. During this time, Ron traveled the world, training and certifying installers on residential and commercial resilient products and systems. After 18 years, he moved into the position of Installation Systems Developer in New Product Development. His primary responsibilities included installation testing and systems development on new resilient products. In addition, Ron supported the evaluation of nearly all adhesive, maintenance, and subfloor preparation products. As engineered and solid hardwood became essential to the Armstrong portfolio, Ron learned and understood the intricacies of wood and wood installation systems. Over time, Ron became a critical part of Armstrong’s complex commercial claims resolution process. Over the years, his work mitigated millions of dollars of wrongful claims against the company. Installation training was his passion, leading to developing training programs such as “train the trainer,” claims seminars, and installation training on new systems with customers. In addition, Ron has supported unique projects that have resulted in intellectual property.
