Vedran is a wood technology and forestry engineering professional with over a decade of
experience in R&D, product innovation, and quality systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Forestry Engineering, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Forestry and Wood Technology at the University of Zagreb, with a focus on wood chemistry, biopolymers, and sustainable material development.

Vedran spent nearly a decade at Bjelin d.o.o., where he led numerous R&D projects focused on enhancing wood durability, fire and water resistance, and dimensional stability through advanced chemical processes. He played a key role in implementing ISO 9001/14001 and FSC systems, developing internal training programs, and supporting circular economy initiatives.

Vedran is also a wood drying expert and has supported the improvement of drying processes for many lumber and lamella producers.
