Dr. Brian Beakler
“Brian is a recognized leader in the industry and comes on board with significant technical knowledge focused in wood, resilient and hybrid flooring,” said Institute founder Jim Gould. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our team.” Beakler succeeds Dominic Rice who recently became Chicago Faucets’ president and CEO.
Beakler received his undergraduate, Masters and Doctorate degrees from Pennsylvania State University’s School of Forest Resources before joining Armstrong Flooring. Later he started his own firm, Beakler Consulting Services, LLC, in early 2019.
Beakler chaired the Board of the Hardwood Plywood and Veneer Association and its successor Decorative Hardwood Association and has been involved in other industry organizations and associations. A prolific writer, he has provided research articles to the Forest Products Journal and Hardwood Floors Magazine and owns several industry patents.
