Jeff Norton’s technically focused roles included Project Management/Engineer experienced in technical and product management with a strong emphasis in problem-solving and solution implementation. He exhibited strong leadership skills in developing, implementing and tracking current and new product/project programs while fostering teamwork and professionalism. Jeff possesses a broad manufacturing background in product design, utilizing molding, die stamping and forming competencies, along with equipment qualification, validation, procurement and installation.
Jeff’s most recent role was Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer with AHF Products in their MTS/Engineering Group. Prior to AHF Products, he worked within Armstrong Flooring (AFI) and Armstrong World Industries (AWI) as a Sr. Staff Mechanical Engineer. Over the past 4 years, Jeff led and managed several projects ranging from $250K to multimillion where he applied Project Management tools in the areas of project planning, feasibility, validation, execution and transition over to manufacturing. Jeff handled and coordinated teams from three different countries which involved international travel to conduct proper project management along with identifying technical and financial project needs.
At Case Industrial, Jeff worked as a Sr. Project Engineer where he managed project engineers and provided project leadership for Cotton Harvester new product development activities to assure program objectives and deliverables were met within schedule and budget. He served as a project engineer lead/manager to advanced engineering projects with budgets ranging from $4.5k to $1.5 million. Jeff led various cross-functional project teams including up to twelve indirect team members of various inter-departments and contractors. At Case Industrial, Jeff also led several project improvement programs that involved international travel and yielded customer loyalty and new future business.
Prior to Case Industrial, Jeff worked at several other large corporations including AMES True Temper – non-powered tool manufacture as a product development engineer; Thermacore – electronic cooling manufacture in R&D and Manufacturing Engineer and lastly, AMP Incorporated as a Sr. Engineer in areas of product design, development and manufacturing.
Jeff holds several degrees from Penn State University in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design Engineering and Systems Engineering. His accomplished career in industry has yielded twenty US Patents.
